June 8 • Stevie Ray Vaughan Tribute
Crossfire
Alan Iglesias has been playing guitar professionally since 1969 when he first started playing dances at his local VFW. After high school, Alan toured the New England area extensively with local blues-based rock bands, garnering a loyal regional following. Feeling a strong affinity for Stevie’s music and stage show, he felt that endeavoring to reproduce a Stevie Ray Vaughan concert as close as he possibly could just seemed to be the right thing to do. His San Diego-based group Crossfire has been touring the nation since 2001 bringing Stevie's live show to SRV fans everywhere. He considers it a privilege to have the opportunity to play such soulful music in the style of someone who played so much from his heart, and would love to think that in some small way, he and the band are helping to keep the legacy of Stevie and his music alive. |
