Starting Utility Service

The City of Redwood City bills for water, and when applicable, garbage and sewer services. Garbage and sewer services are billed only for those addresses that are within the city limits of Redwood City.

Residential Billing
Residential customers are billed bi-monthly. Bills are due upon receipt and considered delinquent after thirty (30) days. 1.5% will be added if bill is not paid within 30 days; $3.00 or 5% of unpaid balance, whichever is greater will be added when an account is issued a shut-off notice.

Commercial Billing
Commercial customers are billed monthly. Bills are due within thirty (30) days. 1.5% will be added if bill is not paid within 30 days; $3.00 or 5% of unpaid balance, whichever is greater will be added when an account is issued a shut-off notice.

Application Forms
When requesting utility service, it is necessary to fill out an application and sign for the services (water, sewer, and garbage). Please fill out an application and return it to our office:
