Family Fun Downtown This Saturday at Redwood City’s Hometown Holidays Celebration!
Redwood City, CA - November 29 , 2005 - Parents and children, grandparents and grandkids, and the entire community are invited to celebrate the holidays Redwood City style at Hometown Holidays! It’s happening downtown this Saturday, December 3rd starting at 10 am – everyone can enjoy a day-long event filled with fabulous activities and fun.
This free family celebration includes:
- a special holiday boutique
- a “Discover Downtown” holiday walk
- the incredible, kid-pleasing snow play area
- an ice sculpture demo and display
- live music
- Santa himself
- the traditional children’s holiday parade
- non-profit booths and displays
- the annual City Hall tree lighting and famous evening holiday fireworks spectacular
And as if that wasn’t enough, Caltrain’s Trains for Tots toy collection train will arrive at the Sequoia Station train platform at about 6:15, with all its unique festive appointments and 40,000 holiday lights, ready to take your new unwrapped donated toys for needy kids.
