Teen Program: Tree Hero Brigade with City Trees of Redwood City

City Trees and their partners invite Redwood City teens to this fun and interactive month long event.

Teens will learn about the importance, benefits, and values of trees, how to properly plant and care for trees, learn about native trees and the history of trees in Redwood City, what types of trees are in the downtown area and why, and what careers exist related to trees. Teens will have hands-on training taught by local arborists and tree experts with identifying, pruning, and planting trees and tree saplings. This is the perfect opportunity for local teens to fulfill community service hours, as well as become more connected with their urban forest. Each teen, upon completion, will receive a Certificate of Completion and be named a member of the Tree Hero Brigade.

Please RSVP at our events page here

Community service hours may be given to those teens looking to fulfill their community service hours with this program.

Please note: For this date's meeting, the group will meet on the 2nd floor of the Downtown Library and then complete the day's session outside at Roselli Park, just next door to the library.

Teen programs are for teens grades 6th through 12th. Sponsored by City Trees of Redwood City and The Friends of the Library.
