Do you enjoy organic gardening? Do you enjoy promoting native plants? Do you want to help supporting school gardens? Do you need more space to garden?Redwood High School on Old County road in Redwood City, has a very large organic garden and we need volunteers to help take care of it.
We are looking for community members interested in volunteering either during the school day to work with students in the garden or after school and on weekends to care for the garden.
We are specifically interested in people who have any of the following interests:
*working with youth
*maintaining and promoting native plants
*taking care of and expanding our orchard
*creating specific theme garden such as a healing plants, senses or scented gardens.
We are also open for suggestions and community input and could really use some help in caring for our beautiful space.
And, if you enjoy gardening but perhaps are not as interested in working directly with youth, we could still use your help after school and on weekends.
