Woodside High School presents Legally Blonde

Don't miss one of the most popular theatrical productions yet at Woodside High School...."Legally Blonde, the Musical", presented through special arrangement with Musical Theater International (MTI), opens Friday March 8, 2013 at Woodside High School's Performing Arts Center, located at 199 Churchill Avenue, Woodside. This entertaining show, written by Heather Hach, with lyrics by Laurence O'Keefe and Nell Benjamin, is one of the most enjoyable, upbeat productions available today.

Laugh-out-loud funny, bursting with bright and bouncy musical numbers, and peppered with over-the-top, wacky scenarios, "Legally Blonde, the Musical" is based on the charming movie of the same name. It tells the story of fashion merchandizing student, Elle Woods, who doesn't take no for an answer. When her boyfriend dumps her for someone "serious", Elle hits the books and earns a ticket to Harvard Law. She does it "for love", but along the way she proves that being true to yourself never goes out of style.

Appropriate for mature middle schoolers and up, this show is sure to dazzle, with 2 live dogs on stage and 50 talented students, singing, dancing, acting, jumping rope, and even "River Dancing". The production staff includes Director Barry Woodruff, Choreographer Kim Harvath, and Vocal Director Ruthie Smith.

Grab your tickets fast, before the show sells out! The first weekend offers the best availability. Performance dates are March 8th/9th/10th, and 15th/16th. Curtain time is 8pm on Friday and Saturday nights, with 2pm on Sunday March 10th. Adult tickets cost $20, with special pricing for Seniors (aged 65+, at $15), and Students (college age and under, at $10). To purchase tickets online, go to Phone orders can be placed at 650-367-9750 (x4851).
