Daughters of the Utah Pioneers: Sequoia Camp

Are you over the age of eighteen? Are you interested in western history? Do you love hearing the stories about courageous pioneer women? Do you enjoy doing your family history? Do you have stories of your ancestors that have been past down to you? Were they trappers, hunters, freighters, in a wagon company (Mormon or Non-Mormon), part of the Mormon Battalion, a member of Johnston’s Army (Utah War), a passengers on the ship Brooklyn (which settled in San Diego), worker on the railroad headed west, a San Bernardino settler, or someone who settled in the State of Deseret/Utah Territory? Would you like to find out more? We would love for you to join us!

We, the Daughters of the Utah Pioneers, Sequoia Camp, have a fun group of women who meet the second Tuesday evening of every month. A pioneer lesson is given as well as a personal history and presentation of an artifact. We sing pioneer music and enjoy one another's company. Some of the lessons this year have been on the history of purses and handbags, pioneer pianos and organs, ancestral roots, a pioneer Christmas, flirtatious fans, and more. We welcome your friendship and hope you will come and celebrate the legacy that was left behind from those who have gone before us.
