One Stop Counter Service

The Service Counter was designed with the vision for excellent
customer service, all focused in a single location.
One-Stop Plan Review
Be sure to try our "One-Stop Plan Review" service.
Representatives from Building and Inspection, Engineering
and Construction, Planning and Redevelopment, and Fire are
available at one time to review and issue permits. These permits
include minor tenant improvements, small residential remodels,
and signs.
Plan Review Appointments
One-Stop Plan Review Sessions are held on Tuesday and Wednesday
from 2 - 4 PM. 30-minute pre-scheduled appointments are required,
and can be made by calling (650) 780-7350.
Email Building & Inspections
We are available by email for building permit(s) information,
Code questions & information, and Zoning information.
Building and Inspection has an email address: permits@redwoodcity.org.
The email address is an "information only" address.
We are always committed to re-examining procedures and systems
and to determining new and innovative ways of doing things.

have regarding our process.
Counter Team
Our counter team consists of representatives from all sections
of Community Development Services, including the Fire Prevention
Officer. Our ultimate goal is to provide fast, courteous,
and efficient permit processing and information at one central
location in City Hall.
We have geared our Counter Services to provide as many "over
the counter" reviews as possible. Customers who used
to walk from office to office to obtain information or approvals
can now come directly to City Hall where they are greeted
by a Permit Technician who will help them obtain the proper
reviews.
