On November 6, 2018, the City of Redwood City will hold a General Municipal Election to fill three seats on the City Council.

Anyone who is 18 years of age or older and who is a resident and registered voter in the City of Redwood City may run for an open seat on the City Council.

The nomination and filing period to run for City Council opens in mid-July and closes in early August. If nomination papers for an incumbent elective officer are not filed by the filing deadline, the nomination period is extended for five days.

The nomination petition and other related papers to run for City Council will be available from the City Clerk’s Office by appointment when the nomination period opens.
