2011 Board, Commission, and Committee Opportunities

Please consider applying for appointment to a Redwood City board, commission, or committee. You'll be helping your Redwood City community! The application period for the Housing and Human Concerns Committee and the Senior Affairs Commission has been extended to November 15, 2011.

The City Council seeks candidates with:

• Knowledge of and involvement in the issues facing their selected board/commission
• Ability to work collaboratively with other members and the public to build consensus
• Commitment to carrying out the responsibilities of serving
• Motivation to be prepared, informed, and engaged in the board’s/commission’s work

The application deadline is 5 pm, Friday, October 28, 2011 (NOTE: The application period for the Housing and Human Concerns Committee and the Senior Affairs Commission has been extended to November 15, 2011). Those interested in applying are encouraged to attend a special Orientation Workshop on Monday, October 24 at 6 pm at City Hall. This workshop will help prepare applicants to be effective, productive, and successful board or commission members.
