Board of Building Review
- Three 4-year terms available, expiring May 31, 2012
Civic Cultural Commission
- Four 4-year terms available, expiring May 31, 2012
Housing and Human Concerns Committee
- Four 4-year terms available, expiring May 31, 2012
Home Improvement Loan Committee
(This is a Housing & Human Concerns Committee <HHCC> member's seat and it shall be filled at the discretion of the HHCC and limited in term only by the requirement that the seat be filled by an active HHCC member)
Historic Resources Advisory Committee
(Appointments made by the Planning Commission)

Library Board
- Two 4-year terms available, expiring June 30, 2012
Parks, Recreation & Community Services Commission
- Three 4-year terms available, expiring May 31, 2012

- Four 4-year terms available, expiring May 31, 2012

The City Council is accepting applications for the above Boards, Committees and Commissions. The Planning Commission will appoint the Historic Resources Advisory Committee members.
The basic requirements are that applicants have an interest in civic and community improvement, and are 18 years of age or older, a United States citizen, and a resident of in corporated Redwood City (some board or commission positions may have additional requirements or preferred areas of expertise).
Applications and descriptions of the duties of the specific boards, committees and commissions are available in the City's libraries, recreation and community centers, the Veterans Memorial Senior Center, the City Clerk Department in City Hall, 1017 Middlefield Road, phone 780-7220 and on the City's website.
Interviews with the City Council for the positions are expected in April. Appointments will be made at a regular Council Meeting yet to be determined. THE DEADLINE FOR SUBMITTAL OF APPLICATIONS IS 5:00 P.M., FRIDAY, March 21, 2008.
