This agenda item
affords members of the public the opportunity to directly
address the City Council on any subject relating

item within the Consent Calendar. If the subject you wish

address is not on the agenda, please understand that the
Brown Act
(Open Meeting Law) precludes the Council from taking
any action at this time. All items within the Consent Calendar
are considered to be routine and the City Council will
waive the reading of the Consent Calendar (except the title
of
any ordinances) and adopt all resolutions and ordinances,
and approve other items by one motion and one vote. The
total time allocated to this agenda item is within the
discretion
of the Mayor, but is generally limited to 15 minutes.

Accept the improvements for the Redwood City Police Department Lobby Remodel
Project, and authorize the release of retention and bonds to Coast Side Associates

Utility Relocation Agreement with Pacific Gas and
Electric Company – Ralston Avenue/Marine Parkway/Route
101 Interchange Improvement Project

Recommendation:
Approve and authorize the City Manager to execute two Utility Relocation Agreements
(one for Gas and one for Electric), between the Pacific Gas and Electric
Company (PG&E) and the City of Redwood City for relocating exisiting
underground utility transmission facilities in the Ralston Avenue/Marine
Parkway/Route 101 Interchange Improvement Project area.

5.2 Section – Resolutions and Ordinances

Resolution of intention to amend the contract between
the City of Redwood City and the Public Employees Retirement
System and introduction of Ordinance approving and
authorizing execution of the amendment to the contract
with the Public Employees Retirement System to provide
Government Code 21362.2, “3% @ 50 Full Formula” for
Redwood City’s Police Officers Association and
Redwood City Police Sergeants Association members effective
on June 28, 2004.

Recommendation:
That the City Council initiate a contract amendment with the Public Employees
Retirement System to provide for Government Code, Section 21362.2, 3% at
50 Full Formula for the Redwood City Police Officers Association and Police
Sergeants Association members by adopting a resolution of intention, and
that the City Council introduce the ordinance approving and authorizing the
contract amendment with the Public Employees Retirement System to provide
for Government Code, Section 21362.2, 3% at 50 Full Formula for the members
of both Associations effective on June 28, 2004.
