REDEVELOPMENT AGENCY/
JOINT STUDY SESSION with PLANNING COMMISSION
& ARCHITECTURAL REVIEW COMMITTEE
May 3, 2004
7:00 P.M.

The Mayor/Chairman will convene the City Council and the Redevelopment Agency meetings to order concurrently.

PLEASE TURN OFF ALL ELECTRONIC EQUIPMENT SUCH AS CELLULAR TELEPHONES AND PAGERS, SO AS TO NOT DISTURB THE PROCEEDINGS OF THE CITY COUNCIL MEETINGS.

*ATTENTION SPEAKERS: If you wish to to address the City Council/Redevelopment Agency, please complete a speaker’s card (next to agendas) and give it to Deputy City Clerk Barbara Conly (seated to the left of the Council). By submitting the speaker’s card, the Mayor/Chair will recognize you at the appropriate time. In order to afford all members of the public the opportunity to address the City Council/Redevelopment Agency, each speaker will be provided 3 minutes.

5. ORAL COMMUNICATIONS AND CONSENT CALENDAR – CITY COUNCIL AND REDEVELOPMENT AGENCY

This agenda item affords members of the public the opportunity to directly address the City Council/Redevelopment Agency on any subject relating to the City Council/Redevelopment Agency which is not on the agenda or any item within the Consent Calendar. If the subject you wish to address is not on the agenda, please understand that the Brown Act (Open Meeting Law) precludes the Council/Agency from taking any action at this time. All items within the Consent Calendar are considered to be routine and the City Council will waive the reading of the Consent Calendar (except the title of any ordinances) and adopt all resolutions and ordinances, and approve other items by one motion and one vote. The total time allocated to this agenda item is within the discretion of the Mayor/Chair, but is generally limited to 15 minutes.

MOTION: waive reading of the Consent Calendar except the ordinances by title, adopt the resolutions and the ordinances, and approve other items.

B.

Purchase of One (1) Combination Sewer and Storm Drain Cleaning Truck

Recommendation
By Motion approve the purchase of one (1) combination sewer and storm dain cleaning truck in the amount of $213,848.95 form Municipal Maintenance Equipment of Sacramento, CA under the Cooperative Purchase Agreement of the City of Foster City, Purchase Order #154086.

C.

Purchase of Two (2) Altec 35-foot Aerial Trucks;

Recommendation
By Motion approve the purchase of one (2) Altec 35-foot aerial trucks in the amount of $153,076.32 from the State of Califronia Office of Procurement under the California Multiple Award Schedule (CMAS) #4-02-23-0013A.

Legislation (information only) - This sub-section involves possible discussion of City Position on Proposed Legislation described in the League of California Cities Priority Focus Bulletin No. 16-2004. 8. ADJOURNMENT: MOTION TO ADJOURN UNTIL THE NEXT CITY COUNCIL MEETING OF MAY 10, 2004;
