*ATTENTION SPEAKERS: If you wish to address the City Council/Redevelopment Agency, please complete a speaker’s card (next to agendas) and give it to Council Volunteer Art Balsamo (seated to the left of the Council/Agency). By submitting the speaker’s card, the Mayor/Chair will recognize you at the appropriate time. 6. ORAL COMMUNICATIONS AND CONSENT CALENDAR
This agenda item affords members of the public the opportunity to directly address the City Council on any subject relating to the City Council which is not on the agenda or any item within the Consent Calendar. If the subject you wish to address is not on the agenda, please understand that the Brown Act (Open Meeting Law) precludes the Council from taking any action at this time. All items within the Consent Calendar are considered to be routine and the City Council will waive the reading of the Consent Calendar (except the title of any ordinances) and adopt all resolutions and ordinances, and approve other items by one motion and one vote. The total time allocated to this agenda item is within the discretion of the Mayor, but is generally limited to 15 minutes.

MOTION: waive reading of the Consent Calendar except the ordinances by title, adopt the resolutions and the ordinances, and approve other items.

Approve the Special City Council Budget Strategy Session Minutes of February 5, 2005 and the Joint City Council and Redevelopment Agency Meeting minutes of February 7, 2005 as submitted;

B.

Amendment No. 1 to Professional Services Agreement with Freedman Tung & Bottomley (FTB) for the Design of the Courthouse Square – Redevelopment Agency

Recommendation:
1. Approve Amendment No. 1 to the Agreement with Freedman Tung & Bottomley to provide design services for the Courthouse Square Project with a budget of $15,658 and appropriate funds from Agency’s Downtown Funding Plan Contingency
2. Authorize the Redevelopment Manager to execute the amendment to the agreement. The services will include additional public meetings and conceptual design iterations beyond the original scope of work
