5. ORAL COMMUNICATIONS AND CONSENT CALENDAR
This agenda item affords members of the public the opportunity
to directly address the City Council on any subject relating
to the City Council which is not on the agenda or any item
within the Consent Calendar. If the subject you wish to
address is not on the agenda, please understand that the
Brown Act
(Open Meeting Law) precludes the Council from taking any
action at this time. All items within the Consent Calendar
are considered to be routine and the City Council will
waive the reading of the Consent Calendar (except the title
of
any ordinances) and adopt all resolutions and ordinances,
and approve other items by one motion and one vote. The
total time allocated to this agenda item is within the discretion
of the Mayor, but is generally limited to 15 minutes.

Recommendation:
1. Approve Amendment No. 2 to Agreement for Streetscape Design Services with
Freedman, Tung & Bottomley (FTB) for consulting services to prepare design
development and construction documents for downtown streetscape improvements
in the amount of $202,382 and authorize the City Manager and the Redevelopment
Agency Executive Director to execute same.
2. Authorize the appropriation of $202,382 for Amendment
No. 2 to Freedman, Tung & Bottomley (FTB) streetscape
agreement from the Redevelopment Agency budget. These
funds are available as part of the $35M Downtown Funding
Plan contingency.

Station

Recommendation:
Adopt a resolution (by a five-sevenths vote), declaring an emergency within
the public easement lying within the Harbor Village Mobile Home Park, finding
that the immediate expenditure of public money is required, and authorizing
corrective work to be performed without public bid.

Recommendation:
Adopt a resolution approving and authorizing sanitary sewer connection and
service to 1254 Edgewood Road, APN 058-030-120, in accordance with Redwood
City Code, Chapter 27, Sanitary Sewerage Facilities, Section 27.53 – Inter-area
Connections, and Minute Order 05-146, subject to the following conditions
and fees:
1. LAFCO approves the application for the subject
connection;
2. Property owners pay a Wastewater Treatment Capacity Fee;
3. Property owners pay a Sewer System Capital Facilities Fee;
4. Property owners pay a Special Benefit Reimbursement Fee;
5. Property owners pay for all expenses related to processing and constructing
the connection, and
Directing staff to submit an application to LAFCo
for said extension.
