Items on the Consent Calendar are considered to be routine by the City Council/Redevelopment Agency and will be enacted by one motion and one vote. The Consent Calendar category is limited to 15 minutes of comment to be allocated as determined by the Mayor. MOTION: waive reading of the Consent Calendar except the ordinances by title, adopt the resolutions and the ordinances, and approve other items.

Purchase of Police Interceptor Sedans

Recommendation:
By motion, approve the purchase of six (6) police sedans in the amount of $150,449.88 from S & C Ford of San Francisco, California under the cooperative purchasing agreement of the City and County of San Francisco’s bid #POAC06500020.

Redwood City Recycled Water Project – Professional Program Management Services

Recommendation:
By Motion, approve Amendment No. 2 to the professional services agreement with Whitley Burchett & Associates for program management services, and authorize the City Manager to sign agreement amendments.

Initiation of a Precise Plan for 885 Woodside Road

By motion authorize initiation of a Precise Plan for 885 Woodside Road per recommendation of the Planning Commission that would ultimately require General Plan and Zoning Map Amendments for a 43-unit condominium project on 0.66 acres.

Revocable encroachment permit at Courthouse Square

Sole Source Purchase of Decorative Art Lanterns for Middlefield Road/Theatre Way II Improvements CITY COUNCIL/REDEVELOPMENT AGENCY

Recommendation:
By motion, authorize the sole source purchase of sixteen diachronic glass lanterns (fabricated and installed by Cork Marcheschi) for an amount not to exceed one hundred twelve thousand dollars ($112,000).

Budget Amendment – Pacific Shores Development Project, Blomquist Street

Recommendation:
By resolution, authorize the appropriation of funds in the amount of $6,697.48 from the City’s Un-appropriated Construction fund balance within the Pacific Shores Construction fund, to cover the “final” billing from the Union Pacific Railroad (UPRR) for the Blomquist Street Realignment.

B.

Budget Amendment – Red Morton Community Center Synthetic Turf Field Installation Project

Recommendation:
By resolution, amend the Fiscal Year 2006-2007 Capital Improvement Program (CIP) budget to include an additional $542,610.00, which the City receives through the 2002 Resources Bond Act from the State Deparment of Parks and Recreation.

Approval of Revised Striping Plan to add Bicycle Lanes on Industrial Way

Recommendation:
By motion, approve a revised land striping plan that includes bicycle lanes on Industrial Way between Whipple Avenue and the north City limit/San Carlos border. The revised striping plan will be incorporated as part of the 2005-2006 Street Overlay Program.

A.

Police Activities League (PAL) Loan Repayment Plan

Recommendation:
City Council authorize the restructure of the payback of the City’s loan of $750,000 to PAL; adopt a permanent City Council sub-committee to meet biannually with the PAL Board of Directors to review PAL’s annual budget and summary of programs; and explore a collaboration between the City’s Finance Department and PAL to assist with the development of PAL’s financial reports.
