*ATTENTION SPEAKERS: If you wish to address the City Council/Redevelopment Agency please complete a speaker’s card (next to agendas) and give it to the Council/Agency Assistant (seated to the left of the Council/Redevelopment Agency). By submitting the speaker’s card, the Mayor/Chair will recognize you at the appropriate time. 6. ORAL COMMUNICATIONS AND CONSENT CALENDAR - CITY COUNCIL/REDEVELOPMENT AGENCY

Items on the Consent Calendar are considered to be routine by the City Council/Redevelopment Agency will be enacted by one motion and one vote. The Consent Calendar category is limited to 15 minutes of comment to be allocated as determined by the Mayor/Chair. If you wish to speak to items on the Consent Calendar, please complete a speaker's card and give it to the Council/Agency Assistant.

MOTION: waive reading of the Consent Calendar except the ordinances by title, adopt the resolutions and the ordinances, and approve other items.

License Agreement between the Redevelopment Agency and Tarboosh Restaurant. CITY COUNCIL/REDEVELOPMENT AGENCY

Recommendation:
By motion, approve the License Agreement and authorize the Redevelopment Agency Executive Director to make any “non-substantive” modifications as necessary for execution.

Initiate Precise Plan Process for “The Preserve at Redwood Shores”

By resolution, initiate a Precise Plan for the Preserve at Redwood Shores Project

Approve warrants dated through February 5, 2007 and usual and necessary payments through February 26, 2007.

7. PUBLIC HEARING

A.

The proposed use of 2006 Citizens Option for Public Safety (COPS) funds of $148,093 by the Redwood City Police Department.

2) Open public hearing;

3) Hear public comment;

4) Close public hearing;

5) Council discussion;

Recommendation:
After completion of the public hearing, approve by motion, the Police Chief’s recommendation to dedicate $85,000 of the Citizens Option for Public Safety (COPS) funds to the salaries and benefits of the new police officer positions approved by City Council pursuant to the staffing study of 1997. The Police Chief recommends that the remaining funds, $63,093, be dedicated to the acquisition of equipment and supplies needed by the police department.
