Items on the Consent Calendar are considered to be routine
by the City Council will be enacted by one motion and one
vote. The Consent Calendar category is limited to 15 minutes
of comment to be allocated as determined by the Mayor. If
you wish to speak to items on the Consent Calendar, please
complete a speaker's card and give it to the Council.
MOTION: waive reading of the Consent Calendar except the
ordinances by title, adopt the resolutions and the ordinances,

Recommendation:
(1) By Motion,
a. Approve the appointment of a pilot Urban Forestry
Board comprised of five appointed members meeting
the stated criteria. The appointment will be for
a fixed period of eighteen (18) months to meet a
stated list of objectives and follow stated operating
guidelines.
b. Adopt the Master Tree List per Section 29.66 of
the Redwood City Municipal Code.
c. Designate the Public Works Services Department
as the lead City department accountable for the City’s
Urban Forestry Program.
d. Establish a List of “Work Verified Tree
Companies” that voluntarily submit to the City
the established criteria. Companies that meet the
criteria will be included on this list that will
be provided for the public.
(2) Introduce an ordinance deleting in its entirety
Section 29.69 Planting of Certain Trees Prohibited
from the Redwood City Municipal Code.
