6. ORAL COMMUNICATIONS AND CONSENT CALENDAR - CITY
COUNCIL/REDEVELOPMENT AGENCY BOARD.
Items on the Consent Calendar are considered to be routine
by the City Council/Redevelopment Agency Board will be enacted
by one motion and one vote. The Consent Calendar category
is limited to 15 minutes of comment to be allocated as determined
by the Mayor/Chair. If you wish to speak to items on the Consent
Calendar, please complete a speaker's card and give it to
the Deputy City Clerk/Deputy Agency Assistant.
MOTION: waive reading of the Consent Calendar

RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING THE EXECUTIVE DIRECTOR
TO ENTER INTO AN ENVIRONMENTAL OVERSIGHT AGREEMENT WITH
THE CALIFORNIA DEPARTMENT OF TOXIC SUBSTANCES CONTROL
TO OVERSEE THE REMEDIATION OF THE BRADFORD PARCELS PROPOSED

Update on the Community Working Group on Bicycle/Pedestrian
Issues, and recommended next steps.

Recommendation:
1. Conclude the trial period of the Community Working
Group on Bicycle/Pedestrian Issues (“Working Group”)
and acknowledge the Working Group’s accomplishments.
2. Indicate consensus to the question: Does the City
Council find that adding an advisory committee to the
City’s structure provides benefits to the community
and nexus to Council priorities that justify additional
staffing efforts and associated costs?
3. Provide input on the preferred scope of a new Council-appointed
Bicycle and Pedestrian Advisory Committee (“Advisory
Committee”), including tasks to address, as well
as tasks that fall outside the Advisory Committee’s
scope.
4. Appoint three people (one each Council Member, Working
group representative, and staff member) to research
and recommend the scope, duties, responsibilities, and
bylaws of an Advisory Committee.
