By submitting the speaker’s card, the Mayor will recognize you at the appropriate time. Presentation - Downtown Programming Sneak Preview by Parks, Recreation, and Community Services Department and Community Development Services Department – Chris Beth, Superintendent, Parks, Recreation, and Community Services Department and Pat Webb, Housing and Economic Development Manager.


6. ORAL COMMUNICATIONS AND CONSENT CALENDAR

Items on the Consent Calendar are considered to be routine by the City Council, and will be enacted by one motion and one vote. The Consent Calendar category is limited to 15 minutes of comment to be all as determined by the Mayor. If you wish to speak to items on the Consent Calendar, please complete a speaker's card and give it to the Deputy City Clerk.

MOTION: Waive reading of the Consent Calendar except the ordinances by title, adopt the resolutions and the ordinances, and approve other items.

Approve the Joint City Council/Civic Cultural Commission meeting minutes of October 13, 2008; the Joint City Council/Redevelopment Agency Board meeting minutes of October 27, 2008; the Regular City Council meeting minutes of November 10, 2008, the Regular City Council meeting minutes of November 24, 2008; the Joint City Council/Redevelopment Agency Board meeting minutes of December 8, 2008; the Joint City Council/Redevelopment Agency Board meeting minutes of December 15, 2008; and, the Regular City Council meeting minutes of February 23, 2009 as submitted.

B.

Peninsula Corridor Joint Powers Board – San Mateo County Grade Crossing Improvement Project.

Recommendation:
Approve and authorize, by motion, the execution of the Construction and Maintenance Agreement between the City of Redwood City and the Peninsula Corridor Joint Powers Board for their San Mateo County Grade Crossing Improvements Project.

Redwood City Fire Department Eligibility Renewal Application with the State and Federal Department of General Services.

Very High Fire Hazard Severity Zone Map Ordinance.

Recommendation:
1. Introduce the Very High Fire Hazard Severity Zone Map Ordinance for first reading on March 9, 2009.

ORDINANCE OF THE CITY OF REDWOOD CITY, CALIFORNIA ADOPTING AND DESIGNATING VERY HIGH FIRE HAZARD SEVERITY ZONES IN THE CITY OF REDWOOD CITY AS DESIGNATED ON THE “REDWOOD CITY - FIRE HAZARD MAP”

2. Schedule a public hearing and second reading on the Very High Fire Hazard Severity Zone Map Ordinance for March 23, 2009.

3. Adopt the Very High Fire Hazard Severity Zone Map Ordinance on March 23, 2009.
