6.3. RESOLUTION

California Department of Boating and Waterways Grant for Police Boat Engines.

Recommendation:
1. By Motion, approve a contract between the City of Redwood City and the California Department of Boating and Waterways (DBW) for grant funds for new engines for the Police Department’s patrol boat, and authorize the Chief of Police or his designee to execute all documents with regard to the Agreement.
2. By Resolution, amend the Police Department budget for Fiscal Year 2008-09, so that the grant funds may be appropriated for the purchase of the boat engines. The grant funds should be appropriated within the Police Department Patrol Services sub-program (62131).
