Redwood City's
Strategic Plan
Adopted June 22, 2009;
Affirmed November 23, 2009;
Revised February 22, 2010
Under the leadership of the City Council, Redwood City has embarked on a strategic planning process, and now has an approved, living document that guides the Council's policy-making and the organization's service delivery. The process provides for a more informed and in-depth annual discussion of how best to accomplish strategic goals.
Two key tools in the strategic planning process are:
- The Redwood City Strategic Plan, which includes an overview of the City's Core Purpose and Values, identified Core Services, and the City's Strategic Initiatives and Strategic Goals, which translate into day-to-day work on behalf of the community.
- The Redwood City Annual Report for Fiscal Year 2008/09, in which each City department’s scope and mission is described, along with an outline of its core services, accomplishments, performance indicator results, and a view of the current fiscal year’s challenges.
