"United We Serve" - Volunteer at the Library
President Obama has announced a summer service initiative called "United We Serve,” encouraging Americans to create meaningful change by volunteering in their communities. The initiative kicks off on Monday, June 22nd. Redwood City community members can find volunteer opportunities at the Library by visiting our volunteer page.

This project is funded entirely by the G.R. Cress Birdbath Fund. Gene Robert Cress was a bird enthusiast who left his entire estate to the city of Redwood City to be used only for bird baths!

Library Gains Prestigious “Five Star Rating”
Redwood City is very proud to announce that the Redwood City Public Library has received the coveted “five star rating” from the Library Journal Index of Public Library Service, a new public library national rating system instituted by the Library Journal. Read more here
