Redwood City Community Schools

Launched in June 2003, the Redwood City Community Schools is a network of schools committed to uniting the most important influences in children’s lives – school, families, and communities – to create a web of support that nurtures their development toward productive adulthood.

Built upon the family centers located within the schools, the Redwood City Community Schools:

  • Expand and broaden the school day with social, emotional and educational resources for youth
  • Bring and coordinate family services
  • Empower youth, parents, and community members to be leaders in their schools and neighborhoods
  • Build partnerships to improve students’ academics

The Redwood City Community Schools are Hoover, Kennedy, Taft and Fair Oaks Schools.

The core services offered at each of the Community School sites include:

  • After-school recreation and academic support and enrichment
