Redwood City 2020
School Readiness

Through the Redwood City Community Schools, Redwood City 2020 received a First Five San Mateo - School Readiness grant. In partnership with the Youth and Family Enrichment Services, parents of children 0 to 5 years old receive home visits (more than one a month), classes and workshops, and case management to support their parenting.

The primary goal of this effort is to equip parents to be successful knowledgeable resources for their children and to ensure that children are ready to learn upon their entry into kindergarten. School Readiness Specialists are at Taft, Fair Oaks, Hoover and Garfield Schools.
