Community Activities Fair Offers Information on Summer and Year-Round Activities for Youth and Families in Redwood City

Redwood City, CA - March 21, 2003 - On Saturday, March 29, 2003 the Redwood City Parks, Recreation and Community Services Department and the San Mateo County Sheriff's CARON Program, together with a number of community partners is sponsoring a Community Activities Fair, from 10 am to 2 pm at the Fair Oaks Community Center, 2600 Middlefield Road. This event brings together representatives from many local organizations that offer fun, educational, and rewarding activities for kids and families. This is a free event, open to the public.

Families are invited to enjoy free hot dogs and lots of free, fun activities, demonstrations, music, and more!

Here are just some of the many groups that are co-sponsoring this event: Redwood City Parks, CARON, PAL, the Sheriff's Activities League, Riekes Center, Young Latino Leaders, Boys and Girls Club, AYSO, Little League, Casa de a Cultura, El Concilio of San Mateo County, Nuestro Canto de Salud, Fair Oaks Senior Center/Family Service Agency, Peninsula Covenant Church, Redwood City Baptist Church, San Mateo County Health - Diversity Program, San Mateo Credit Union, Sequoia YMCA, Verbo Family Services.

Redwood City's Fair Oaks Community Center offers information, referral, and counseling services to persons living in Redwood City and neighboring communities.
