For Immediate ReleaseIncredible Deals on Thousands of Books During Friends of Redwood City Public Library Book Sale
Redwood City, CA - April 10, 2003 - Everyone's favorite place to borrow a book is of course their local library. But for three days in April at the Redwood City Public Library, people can instead buy their favorite books at a special book sale benefit sponsored by the Friends of the Redwood City Public Library. The sale is scheduled for Friday, April 25 and Saturday, April 26 from 10 am to 4 pm, and on Sunday, April 27 from 1 to 4 pm. This special sale will be in the community room of the Main Library located at 1044 Middlefield Road in downtown Redwood City.
Thousands of books for sale include best sellers, cooking, children's tales, history, science fiction, mysteries, and more. Many of these books are in mint condition, and are sure to be snapped up quickly, so buyers are urged to come early for the best selection.
As a special incentive, Sunday, April 27 is "bag day" during which a bag filled with books will sell for just $5! The Friends group will donate any unsold books to the USO lounge at the San Francisco Airport as a gesture to help our Armed Forces.
Proceeds from the sale will be used to buy new books and other library materials, and to sponsor the Summer Reading Club for children and special Library programs for adults.
The Redwood City Public Library sponsors many free programs for children and adults, and helps our community to "understand the past, prepare for the future, and thrive in the present." For more information about library events and services you may access the library's home page at www.rcpl.info or call 780-7026.
