CANCELED: Congresswoman Anna Eshoo's Talk at Redwood City’s Veterans Memorial Senior Center

Redwood City, CA - November 6, 2003 - Congresswoman Anna Eshoo’s speech scheduled for Thursday, November 13, 2003 at noon at the Redwood City Veterans Memorial Senior Center has been canceled due to unforeseen circumstances.

Staff at the Senior Center received word today from Congresswoman Anna Eshoo's office that the House of Representatives will not adjourn this week, and will be definitely be in session next week. For this reason Congresswoman Eshoo is required to be in Washington and is therefore unable to attend the Senior Center event. No new date has been announced.

The luncheon will still take place in the Redwood Room at the Veterans Memorial Senior Center, 1455 Madison Avenue in Redwood City, and the public is invited to attend and participate in the Senior Affairs Commission meeting immediately following lunch. Cost of the lunch is $4.50.

This is just one of the educational, informative, and fun events and activities provided by the Veterans Memorial Senior Center. With a variety of programs and services including innovative and creative classes, dinner dances, presentations by local historians, talks by our elected officials, great food, information and referral, health and fitness classes that focus on wellness for free or at a very low cost, the Center is a great asset to Redwood City.
