Bring the Young Artists to "KIDZ ART
DAY" in Redwood City
Redwood City, CA - September 12, 2003
- The Redwood City Parks, Recreation and
Community Services Department and ARTshare of San Mateo County
present “KIDZ ART DAY” on Saturday, October 4
from 10:30 am until 4 pm at Red Morton Park, 1400 Roosevelt
Avenue. The entire family will enjoy this artistic day in
the park, featuring theater and circus arts, mask making,
poetry writing, music, crafts, dance, paint, sculpture, and
much more! Kids can participate in hands-on activities and
enjoy fun, exciting presentations on the arts. All young artists,
and especially those who would like to be an artist for the
day, are invited to join in the fun.
There will be featured artists and musicians performing throughout
the day, and arts and crafts tables where kids can experiment
with a variety of arts materials. Local favorite Cosmo the
Circus Master will host his hands-on Circus Tent where kids
can learn to juggle, walk on stilts, and perform other amazing
circus acts under the Big Top. Also featured are Flamenco
dancers, and story-tellers with amazing tales that will captivate
children of all ages.
Participants are encouraged to enjoy lunch at the picnic
tables, grassy areas, and shade trees, and spend the entire
day enjoying and participating in arts events and performances.
This FREE event is sponsored by ARTshare of San Mateo County,
