Incredible Deals on Thousands of Books
During Friends of Redwood City Public Library's Gigantic Book
Sale
Redwood City, CA - October 13, 2003
- The Friends of the Redwood City Public
Library have been busily restocking supplies for their twice-yearly
book sale, and that means incredible deals on every kind of
book one might imagine. It happens from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m.
this Friday and Saturday, October 17th and 18th and from 1
p.m. – 4 p.m. on Sunday, October 19th. The three-day
event takes place at the Redwood City Public Library, located
at 1044 Middlefield Road in Redwood City. All are welcome
to come, browse, and get the deal of a lifetime on books!
The thousands of books for sale include best sellers, travel
guides, children’s tales, and mysteries, many of them
in mint condition. As a special incentive, Sunday October
19th is “bag day” during which a bag filled with
books will sell for $5.00. Proceeds from the sale will be
used to buy new books and other library materials, and to
sponsor the Summer Reading Club for children and special programs
for adults.
The Redwood City Public Library offers many free programs
for children, adults, and families, and helps our community
to “understand the past, prepare for the future, and
thrive in the present.” For more information about library
events and services you may access the library’s home
