Additional Concert Scheduled for City’s Live in Downtown Series – September 10

Redwood City, CA - August 26, 2004 - Redwood City’s free downtown summer concert series has been extended to add another show, with Steve Lucky & the Rhumba Bums (see their website at www.luckylounge.com), scheduled to appear on Friday, September 10 from 6 to 8 pm. The other two remaining concerts are on August 27 with Ron Garriffo’s big contemporary jazz ensemble, and on September 3 featuring Orquesta de Sol.

The Live in Downtown concert series takes place in the City Center Plaza, right next to City Hall at 1017 Middlefield Road, across the street from the main library.

The series is sponsored by the Redwood City Civic Cultural Commission and the City of Redwood City. Over the years, this very popular set of concerts has brought a variety of top-quality local and national musical performers to the community. From jazz, blues, Celtic, and swing, to Latin, salsa, blues, country, and more, these free concerts are a great way to spend a balmy summer evening in Redwood City.
