Free Lecture Offers Tips on Home Safety and Security
Redwood City, CA - May 20, 2004
- The Redwood City Parks, Recreation and Community Services department is hosting a free educational program entitled "Home Safety and Security" featuring expert advice from the Redwood City Police Department. The program is scheduled for Wednesday, June 2, 2004 at 10:30 a.m. in the Goldstar Room of the Veterans Memorial Senior Center , 1455 Madison Avenue , and it is open to the public.
Topics will include home safety and security, things to be aware of for personal safety on the street, con artists, and information on the latest scams. "Home Safety and Security" is being presented by Officer Perry Garcia, a 17-year veteran of the Redwood City Police Department, who works in the Department's Community Policing Division. The Community Policing Division serves as a direct source of information and reference for citizens, and works on long-term problems within the community, neighborhood disputes, and other issues.
To register for this free lecture, please call the Veterans Memorial Senior Center at 780-7270. Drop-ins are also welcome. Lunch (please call for reservation) will be served in the Redwood Room at 12:00 noon for $4.50.
