Resurfacing of Jefferson Avenue and Farm Hill Boulevard Re-Scheduled to Begin Tuesday, July 6

Redwood City, CA - June 25 , 2004 - As part of its ongoing roadway maintenance program, the City of Redwood City has scheduled resurfacing for significant portions of Jefferson Avenue and Farm Hill Boulevard .

The work is scheduled to begin on Tuesday, July 6 (tentative) and last for approximately three months. Farm Hill Boulevard will be resurfaced from Jefferson to the City limits near Cañada College , and Jefferson Avenue will be resurfaced from Franklin Street to Farm Hill Boulevard . This is approximately four miles of roadway that will be improved for the people who live and work in Redwood City .

During the resurfacing project, there will be periods when all or part of these sections of Jefferson and Farm Hill will be reduced to one lane of traffic in each direction in order to facilitate the work. Motorists are urged to be prepared for traffic delays, and to use alternative routes if possible.

The City appreciates the public's patience during this work, and apologizes for the inconvenience to motorists and nearby residents. The Jefferson and Farm Hill road resurfacing project will result in smoother, safer, and improved streets. Over 1,600 notices have already been sent to the affected residences, with another notice going out when the work begins.
