Redwood City Public Library Presents Grammy-Nominated Bill Harley in Library Benefit Concert – Great for Kids and Families!
Redwood City, CA - October 13, 2005 - A very special Library benefit performance by nationally-known songster/storyteller Bill Harley takes place on Thursday October 27th at 7 pm, in the Foresters Hall, 1204 Middlefield Road. The proceeds from this concert benefit the Library's free programs for children – it’s a great opportunity for kids and families to enjoy a great show, and help their library at the same time!
Bill Harley is a two-time Grammy nominee, and is renowned for such hits as, "Zanzibar", "Monsters In The Bathroom", "50 Ways To Fool Your Mother", "You're In Trouble", "Dad Threw The TV Out The Window" and "Down in the Backpack". His books and cds will be for sale that evening with a portion of those sales going to the Library.
This show is the perfect entertainment for children ages five and up, and all for a great cause! Tickets are a mere $10 and are available at all Redwood City Public Libraries, Whole Foods Market, and Linden Tree Children’s Records and Books in Los Altos. The Library is also pleased to announce that Miss Redwood City is helping to let kids and families know all about this special performance – she will climb aboard a Harley-Davidson motorcycle, and conduct prize drawings for Bill Harley’s books and music. See Miss Redwood City on a Harley on Monday, October 24th at 7:45 pm in the lobby of the Downtown Library, 1044 Middlefield Avenue, right after the children’s annual Library Halloween Parade.
