Redwood City’s Parks, Recreation and Community Services Department Offers Schedule of March Events at Senior Center
Redwood City, CA - February 28, 2005
- The Veteran’s Memorial Senior Center, 1455 Madison Avenue, Redwood City, is offering the following programs, and the public is invited to attend:
“Get a Taste of Nutrition” Lecture
Wednesday, March 2, 2005 10:30 a.m., Community Wellness Center Game Room, Free. Guest Speaker will be Shannon Stevens, R. D. and Sequoia Hospital Clinic Dietitian. Topics will include healthy heart nutrition, nutrition and diabetes, and understanding food labels. Lunch (please call 780-7270 for reservation) will be served in the Redwood Room at 12:00 noon for $4.50.
St. Patrick’s Lunch
Thursday, March 17, 12:00 noon to 2:00 p.m., Redwood Room, $5.00. Join us for Lunch and A Bit of the Blarney, Irish music and dance, and the Veterans Memorial Senior Center’s Choir for an Irish Sing-along. Call 780-7270 for a reservation.
Continental Breakfast with Bill McKenna
Saturday, March 19, 2005, 9:00 a.m. to 11:00 a.m., Redwood Room, $4.00. The topic is Vintage Music Theater. Tickets can be purchased in advance by calling 780-7270 or will be available at the door.
AARP Driver Safety Class
Saturday, March 26 and April 2, 2005, 9:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m., Goldstar Room, $10.00. To register, call 780-7270.
Computer Classes Registration
Wednesday, March 30, 9:30 a.m. to 11:00 a.m. and 7:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m., Sequoia Room. Classes are from April 11 until June 17.
