Redwood City Seeks Food Vendors / Concessionaires for New Courthouse Square Concession Spaces

Redwood City, CA - May 24, 2006 - Redwood City is seeking vendors / concessionaires to be part of the Downtown renaissance!

The City is issuing a Request for Proposals (RFP) for four concession spaces in Courthouse Square, the new outdoor “living room” now under construction in the heart of Downtown, in front of the historic County Courthouse building.

The deadline for submitting proposals is 5:00 pm, July 13, 2006. All respondents to this RFP must attend a Mandatory Informational Meeting taking place:

  • Friday, June 9, 2006, 10:00 am
    Room 2B, City Hall
    1017 Middlefield Road
    Redwood City

The Square includes two pavilions (each with two concession spaces), café seating, four decorative water fountains, and landscaping. Each concession space includes an enclosed area of approximately 14 feet by 13 feet that can be used for food and beverage operations or other sales activity that provides a complementary fit with the Square and the revitalized Downtown. The new Courthouse Square is expected to open in fall, 2006.

This beautiful new public space, along with new streetscape improvements is part of the City and Redevelopment Agency of Redwood City’s revitalization efforts to transform the downtown in an exciting and inviting entertainment, employment, and residential center on the Peninsula.

For more information or to obtain a copy of the RFP, contact Jeannie Young at 650-780-7365 or via email. Information on the Courthouse Square, Redwood City’s Downtown, and the RFP is also available online.
