Third Annual Redwood City PAL Comedy Night Fundraiser October 5th! Get Tickets Now for Extravaganza Featuring Bob Sarlatte, Bill Santiago, and Leland Brown

Redwood City, CA - September 14, 2006 - The Redwood City Police Athletics League announces the 3rd Annual PAL Comedy Night starring Bob Sarlatte, Bill Santiago, and Leland Brown, presented by Hannig Law Firm and the Danford Foundation. This hugely successful fundraising event is an important way to help PAL continue its work on intervention, prevention, and alternative programs for at-risk and economically challenged youth in Redwood City.

Join other members of the Redwood City community for a fun, exciting, laugh-filled evening for a great cause on Thursday October 5 th starting at 5:00 pm at the Historic Fox Theatre, 2215 Broadway in Redwood City. One-hundred percent of the $150 ticket price goes to support PAL programs (tax deductible donation). The evening starts with fabulous pre-show hors d’oeuvres, drinks, and rubbing elbows with other community members that recognize the great value that our PAL program provides. Live and silent auctions commence, and then the world-class comedy show starts. Tickets are available by calling 650-780-7619, or sending a check to PAL, 1301 Maple Street, Redwood City, CA 94063.

Each year, PAL recognizes individuals who exemplify community spirit in their work and personal lives. This year’s PAL Citizen of the Year Award goes to brother and sister Gino Gasparini and Daniela Gasparini, and the recipients of the PAL Smile Award are Frank and Theresa Hannig and their sons, Frank Jr. and Ted. All of these exceptional individuals have exhibited continual and long-time involvement in PAL and the community of Redwood City, and their help and support has served as a great example to others throughout the community.

Food and libations are provided courtesy of Arguello Catering, Avenir Restaurant Group, Chef Chu 's, Max 's and other local restaurants. The event is sponsored by Hannig Law Firm, Danford Foundation, Redwood General Tire, Wells Fargo Bank, DPR Construction, Arguello Catering, Pete 's Harbor, Provident Credit Union, Bay Area Bank, DES Architects Engineers, Cargill Salt and Orthoworks.

Help support Redwood City PAL as it provides a positive influence on thousands of children and teen lives each year with its many youth programs and its great volunteers who give their time and energy to help build a great community.
