Redwood City Seeks Courthouse Square Vendors/Concessionaires - Request for Proposals Now Available
Redwood City , CA – December 2, 2009 -The City of Redwood City and its Redevelopment Agency are pleased to offer three food or retail kiosk spaces in Courthouse Square for use by vendors or concessionaires. Any interested vendors must review, complete, and submit the information outlined in the Request for Proposal (RFP). The RFP is available online at www.redwoodcity.org/squarerfp, by calling 650-780-7365, or emailing jyoung@redwoodcity.org. The deadline to submit the required RFP information is noon, Thursday, January 15, 2009.
Each concession space includes an enclosed area of 191 square feet that can be used for limited food and beverage operations or other sales activity that provides a complementary fit with the Square and the Downtown.
An informational conference for interested vendors will be held Friday, December 12, 2008, from 3:00 to 4:30 pm at City Hall, Room 2B (second floor), 1017 Middlefield Road in Redwood City. The meeting will be conducted by City and Agency personnel for the purpose of covering the material in the Request for Proposal (RFP) and to give prospective applicants an opportunity to view the kiosks and ask questions.
Courthouse Square is the community’s outdoor “living room” in the heart of Downtown in front of the historic County Courthouse building/History Museum. This is a beautiful, inviting, and comfortable public space, drawing residents and visitors to Redwood City’s Downtown, employees on their lunch hour, visitors to the San Mateo County History Museum (inside the historic Courthouse), and thousands of people annually for the many special events that take place there.
