Redwood City Police Activities League Presents “Give a PAL a Ride” Fundraising Motorcycle Ride

Redwood City, CA - April 16th, 2008 - The Redwood City Police Activities League (PAL) is proud to announce the 4 th Annual Motorcycle Poker Run fundraiser - “Give a PAL a Ride” benefits youth in Redwood City by helping to fund PAL programs including the computer lab, karate and dance programs, after school tutoring, sports, and boxing programs. The motorcycle run will be held on Saturday, May 3rd, 2008, starting at the PAL community center, 3399 Bay Road. Registration begins at 9 am, and this scenic and fun police-escorted motorcycle ride starts 10:30 am.

This is a great opportunity to ride along with police motorcycle officers through the scenic coast of San Mateo County, ending back at Redwood City’s beautiful Courthouse Square for live music, a free barbeque lunch, and prizes. Up to 200 motorcyclists are expected to participate on this great 100-mile ride that raises funds for PAL.

Register before April 25 th at the special price of $20 per motorcycle ($25 with a 2nd rider); after April 25 th, the registration is $30/$35. With that entry fee all participants receive morning coffee, a special Ride T-shirt, a Ride pin, and BBQ lunch – and the knowledge that they’ve done something great for our community by helping our local PAL.
