“Art on the Square” Combines Wonderful Arts, Crafts with Live Music for a Great Family Evening, Starting June 20th!

Redwood City, CA - June 9th , 2008 - Redwood City is fast becoming the peninsula's epicenter for the arts with new galleries, dozens of artists, and great places to hear live music! This summer Art on the Square will transform Courthouse Square as artists and artisans exhibit their work in the heart of our beautifully-renovated downtown.

Presented by Redwood City and its Civic Cultural Commission and Redevelopment Agency, three juried outdoor art shows will complement Music on the Square, the City's renowned Friday evening summer concert series. And, at each of these art shows, you can enter a drawing to win gift certificates good to spend in artists' booths at the show.

    July 18, 2008
    August 1, 2008
    September 19, 2008

  • Saturdays
    July 19, 2008 - 11am – 7 pm
    September 20, 2008 – 11 am - 8 pm

The entire community is invited to experience a wonderful selection of art from 5 – 8:30 pm, with great live music from 6 – 8pm. It’s a great opportunity to join friends, family, neighbors, and new friends to enjoy music, art, and more on Courthouse Square - your “Downtown living room!

And this is only one of the many events, activities, and programs going on this summer downtown! Don’t forget Dancing on the Square on Wednesday evenings, Movies on the Square on Thursday nights, Target Family Days events and activities on selected Sundays, Shakespeare on the Square in July and August…and lots more.
