Volunteers Invited to Be Part of Downtown Redwood City’s Fabulous Season of Events

Redwood City, CA - April 10, 2009 - The entire community has enjoyed Redwood City’s revived and revitalized Downtown and its incredible array of events, activities, festivals, concerts, and family fun. Now, the City is putting out the invitation for people who want to be a part of making these events happen from May through December – volunteers are needed to help these events be a great success!

Whether it’s Music on the Square, the Salsa Festival, Zoppe Italian Circus, Hometown Holidays, or the many other celebrations, there are great opportunities to volunteer. Imagine being part of putting on these thrilling and fun events, and seeing huge numbers of community members enjoying themselves – thanks to you and others who volunteer. The City needs help with set-up, tear down, check-in, information booth, vendor coordination, staging…and a lot more.

It’s easy to volunteer – just go to, call 780-7263, or email for an application (under-18 are welcome to volunteer, with parental permission). Volunteers will feel great, knowing that they had a big hand in making sure the tens-of-thousands of people who come to the City’s Downtown events are getting the most enjoyable, fun, safe, and memorable experience possible.
