Redwood City PAL Presents the 2009 Summer Blues Festival FREE in Downtown Redwood City!
Redwood City, CA - July 9 , 2009 - On July 24th and 25th, the Blues will rule in Redwood City, at the annual Redwood City PAL Blues Festival! What a great way to spend a beautiful summer day and evening, basking in Redwood City’s glorious weather, enjoying top-notch blues performers, and helping to benefit the crucial programs of the Redwood City Police Activities League (PAL). The main performances take place Downtown at Courthouse Square. Here’s the schedule:
- Friday, July 24th from 6 – 8 pm

- Saturday, July 25th from 11 am – 8 pm
Mighty Mike Schermer with Special Guest Earl Thomas - Sid Morris and the Roadhouse Rockers with Gary Smith - Taylor P. Collins - The California Honeydrops - Bluestate - Russell Barber Band - South City Blues Band - DeBraun Thomas
All ages are welcome at the After Party at Angelica's Bistro, 863 Main Street, featuring the Madison Blues Band
The entire community is invited to enjoy Downtown and the FREE Redwood City PAL Blues Festival! And, Redwood City’s fabulous Art on the Square will also be in full swing both Friday and Saturday, as artists and artisans transform the streets surrounding Courthouse Square into an outdoor gallery to exhibit their incredible works of art.
Purchasing food, beverages, and T-shirts at the Blues Festival will provide funds to help Redwood City PAL continue its work focusing on intervention, prevention, and alternative programs for at-risk and economically challenged youth in Redwood City. Redwood City PAL influences thousands of children and teen lives in positive ways each year, thanks to the great volunteers who give of their time and energy.
