Redwood City, CA - December 6, 2009 - On Tuesday, December 15th the Avenir Restaurant Group and Milagros restaurant will host a very special fundraiser to support the Redwood City Fire/Police/PAL Toy and Book Drive.  The entire community is invited to join in the fun to support a great program that provides toys, books, and much-needed holiday spirit to underprivileged children in Redwood City.

Throughout that day and night, 20% of the receipts from Milagros (when identified as a “Toy Drive” patron) will be donated directly to the Toy and Book drive. This is a fun, festive way for everyone to enjoy the holidays with some of Redwood City’s finest food and beverages, and to do something wonderful to help less-fortunate kids during the holiday season.

    Tuesday, December 15, 2009
All day, with prize drawings, festivities, and special guests starting at 6 pm
Milagros Restaurant, 1099 Middlefield Road, Redwood City

Everyone is invited to bring a new book or new unwrapped toy to show your support for the toy and book drive. Then, enjoy a wonderful meal and beverages and tell the server to mark “Toy Drive” on your bill. At the end of the night Milagros will donate 20% of their days’ earnings towards this important program.

The 49ers Goldrush Cheerleaders are scheduled to be at the event in the evening to sell prize drawing tickets and sign autographs – and the prizes are really something special!

  • Dinner for 6 with Redwood City Firefighters, at a fire station.
  • A day at the shooting range with the Redwood City Police Department (18 and older only).
  • Great gift certificates for Nola, Milagros and Town restaurants.
  • An Apple Ipod Touch.

Those that can’t make it for dinner are invited to stop by at any time during the day to donate toys in the Milagros Toy and Book Barrel.
