Redwood City Hosting FREE Electronic Waste Disposal and Document Shredding Event
Redwood City, CA - June 15, 2009 - Electronic waste (e-waste) is an ongoing problem for households, businesses, and the environment. And, many people aren’t sure what to do with old, confidential or general documents that they need destroyed. Here’s an opportunity to address both of those issues: Redwood City is hosting a FREE E-Waste Disposal and Document Shredding event sponsored by South Bayside Waste Management Authority (www.rethinkwaste.org).
- Saturday, June 20th, 2009
9 am to 3 pm
Redwood City Public Works building parking lot, 1400 Broadway
(between Woodside Road and Chestnut)
Bring e-waste items for recycling, and bring documents that you’d like shredded. Document shredding is provided by shredit.com, which will have a truck on site and you can watch while they shred your documents – there is a five box limit on documents, please.
