Tickets for Zoppé Circus in Redwood City Now Available!

Redwood City, CA - September 23, 2010 - Redwood City is thrilled to once again welcome “Zoppé - an Italian Family Circus” for a spectacular two-week run of amazing performances, October 15th – 24th. Much beloved by families in Redwood City, previous years’ Zoppé Circus performances here wowed hundreds of people at each show with its extraordinary two-hour performances. The Circus tent will be set up right next to the Downtown Library (1044 Middlefield Road). Tickets are on sale now! Don’t wait, as there will be many sold-out shows!

And, the circus offers a fantastic new feature this year - on October 14th only, Zoppé is providing a rare opportunity for Redwood City families to get up-close and personal with their family as they prepare for their run in Redwood City: a 3-course Italian meal (salad, pasta, desert, non-alcoholic beverages) around the Circus Ring, served by the performers, with performances in between!

The Zoppé Family Circus will welcome guests into its intimate 500-seat tent for a one-ring circus that honors the best history of the Old-World Italian tradition. Starring Nino the Clown, the circus is propelled by a central story that features acrobatic feats, equestrian showmanship, canine capers, clowning, and plenty of audience participation. Giovanni Zoppé, the sixth-generation circus performer who plays Nino, says the show aims beyond the more typical circuses of today. "We try to touch every emotion during the show for the audience. They’ll laugh, they'll cry, and they'll feel for the characters. It's more of an event than a show!" The Zoppé Family Circus is reminiscent of the one-ring European family circuses of the 19th century and will thrill and amaze children and adults alike with its breathtaking stunts and astonishing acrobatics.

Tickets are $10 (child 11 and under) / $15 (adult) for noon and 3 pm shows, and $15 (child) / $20 (adult) for evening shows. The very special October 14th Dinner with Zoppé (8 pm) is $35 (child) / $50 (adult). When you buy tickets online there is a small surcharge of $2 - $4 per ticket, depending on the ticket price

All the information, show schedules, and ticket purchase is available online at or at Red Morton Community Center, 1120 Roosevelt Avenue, and at the circus tent on show days.
