Update 4: 926 Woodside Rd. Fire All Displaced Residents Accounted for in 6-Alarm Fire As Collaboration Sets Up "Recovery Service Center" for Displaced Residents

Redwood City, Calif. - All residents of the displaced fire are accounted for and the collaboration of Redwood City, County of San Mateo, American Red Cross and other essential non-profits are asking all displaced residents to obtain services at the newly established Emergency Shelter located at Veteran's Senior Center, 1455 Madison, Redwood City. This new location will be a temporary overnight shelter for displaced residents who need a place to sleep through Sunday night, along with a "Recovery Service Center" through the weekend.

The hours for the Recovery Center start on Friday, October 18th from 12-7pm. Hours for Saturday and Sunday are yet to be confirmed. The Recovery Center will have health services, client case workers, recovery planning, and a needs assessment for each family so that the appropriate resources can be accessed.

At 10:30am on Friday, October 18th, the Redwood City Fire Department will potentially have an update as to when residents will be able to quickly be escorted into the building to retrieve essential belongings and documents. It is not known at this time if that opportunity will be available tomorrow or at a later time.

Eastbound lanes of Woodside are open, along with one westbound lane. The other westbound lane is expected to be open later this evening.
The property management group, Sequoia Realty, has set up a recorded hotline to be updated for further guidance and that number is 650.556.8660.

As reported earlier, San Mateo County has set up an alert system for those displaced residents who have shared their cell phone numbers and carriers, and also have a recorded hotline (650.363.4433) that is being regularly updated with new information.

Again, the agencies of the recovery effort ask all displaced residents to report to the emergency shelter to be assisted with their recovery plan.
