Bakery Buddies:
Come join us Thursday mornings at 9:30am, for Senior Bakery Buddies. We distribute bread and other goodies to enjoy, plus yummy coffee, good conversation, and new friends to meet. We welcome new volunteers to help with the picking up of food items, Bakery Buddy greeters, and distributors.

Billiards:
Monday-Friday, 9:00am-4:30pm, Free, Community Wellness Center.

Bingo: Tuesday evenings- Early Bird 6:30pm / Regular 7pm and Sunday afternoons- Early Bird 12:15pm / Regular 12:45pm. Cash Prizes. Proceeds support Senior Center Programs.

Blood Pressure Screening:
Free! 1st Tuesday of the month 9-11am at the Community Wellness Center, Room 20. 2nd, 3rd & 4th Mondays, 10:30-11:30am at the Redwood Room.

Canada College Adaptive P.E.: for individuals with health impairments or other disabilities. For information call Barbara McCarthy at (650) 306-3473.

Cards:
Tuesday & Thursday, 12:00-4:00pm, Sunset Room, Vets. Rummy, Bridge, Spite and Malice and Pedro.

Senior Choir “Songbirds”: Everyone is welcome to enjoy this wonderful group of singers at the Veterans Memorial Senior Center. Come on over on Fridays at 10:45am, especially if you like to sing the old and new songs in a fun loving atmosphere.

Crafts: Mondays, 1:00-3:00pm, Free, Meet in Redwood Room, Vets. Bring your own project.

Haircuts, Manicures, Pedicures: Tues. & Thurs., Ceramic room, Wellness Center. Call Linda Washington for an appointment at 322-5787.

Hot Lunch Program: The Veterans Memorial Senior Center’s Nutrition staff and volunteers prepare delicious, nutritious home-style lunches Mon-Fri. Lunches include: made-from-scratch soups, entrees with side dishes and dessert – all for only $4.50! Everyone is welcome, so join this friendly, fun lunch crowd! Lunch is served at 12:00 noon. Meals and soups are also available for Take-Out. They are individually packaged, microwave-ready and include heating instructions. Movies: Free movies shown every other Wed. & every Fri. at 1:15pm in the Little Theatre, Vets. Schedule at the VMSC.

Peninsula Video Makers: 2nd & 4th Friday, 7:00pm. in the Sunset Room, Vets.

Photo Vision Club: Meetings and field trips are on Wed. mornings, Community Wellness Center. Call (650) 368-7834

Ping Pong: Thursday 1:00- 3:00pm Sequoia Room, Community Wellness Center. Individuals are responsible for scheduling their own partners.

Poker: Thursday at 1:00pm- Game Room, Community Wellness Center.

Reiki: Tuesday & Thursday mornings at the Wellness Center. Call 780-7274 for an appointment. Relax - Rejuvenate. Reiki means “Universal Life Force” and is a heart centered, simple, gentle and natural hands-on healing practice. This form of healing is found to balance and energize all systems in the body and is a powerful tool for optimal health, personal growth and transformation. Self Esteem: Peer support group. Meet for discussions on Wed., 1:00-3:00pm, Community Wellness Center.

Senior Center Library: Monday-Friday, 8:00am -8:00pm, Wellness Center. Great selection! No check out needed.

Senior Services: The Senior Center offers a wide variety of senior services which include: information and referral, loan closet of home medical equipment, SASH- shopping assistance for seniors at home, friendly visitor program, Reiki treatment, tax preparation services, home safety evaluations, health insurance counselling, La Raza legal services, blood pressure screenings, and health education seminars. Senior Softball: For adults 50 and over. Contact Jack Hoover at 494-3505.

Senior Spokes Bike Club: Rides every Monday at 10:00am, Call Ozzie Schmidt at 368-3407 or Nancy Francis at 321-3320.

SHHH Self Help for Hard of Hearing: 1st monday, 2:30pm, in the Goldstar Room, VMSC. Lectures with questions and answer sessions. Refreshments served.

TOPS (Take off Pounds Sensibly): Join this fun and supportive group at the Senior Center. TOPS is a great way to take off a few pounds and improve your overall health!
Thursdays: 6:00pm weigh-in, 6:30pm Meeting, $20 per year, $2 per month Sequoia Room, Wellness Center.

Wood Carving: All ages welcome, Tuesdays, 6:30-9pm, in the Sequoia Room
