Ready for Kindergarten?
Parent guides and videos about getting ready for kindergarten were created by the Silicon Valley Community Foundation in conjunction with First 5 San Mateo County, the Redwood City School District and other partners. The guides are being distributed through schools, preschool and child care programs and the Foundation. You may view the video in English or Spanish or download the guides here.
Whether or not your child has attended an early education or school readiness program, summer activities can provide good learning and socialization opportunities. Find many classes and camps for preschool-age children here. Library storytimes and other activities are available too! Sign up your child for a library card--and for kindergarten, of course!
