| Care & Shelter |
 |
Did you know that the PRCS Department is responsible for the care and shelter of residents displaced by fire, flood, earthquake
or other disasters? Two apartment fires (Alden Street and Stambaugh Street) in June displaced dozens of residents. PRCS
staff had to act quickly to open up shelters at the Community Activities Building and the Fair Oaks Community Center to accommodate the victims. In addition to working with the Fire Department and
then coordinating with the Red Cross, the Fair Oaks Community Center team works diligently to
find temporary housing, food assistance and other services to support individuals and families during a very stressful and
emotional time in their lives. Thank you, thank you for such a dedicated and caring team! |
