After School Grant Programs

Thanks to State After School Education and Safety Program and Federal 21st Century Community Learning Centers grants, the City operates free afterschool programs at many Redwood City School District schools. Sites include: Fair Oaks, John Gill, Garfield, Hawes, Henry Ford, Hoover, Selby Lane, and Kennedy. Programs provide academic support, as well as recreation and life skills activities. Enrollment is limited and children are referred by teachers. Other agencies provide similar programs at other schools.

For more information, contact your school office, or Adilah Haqq-Smith at 780-7315.
